A Tribute to the Martyrdom- Imam Hussain
Submission of the head in the hands of lusty Yazid’s
The war so unfair, yet so fair
The death so painful, indeed so painful
The human so cruel, & the humanity of Imam so humane
What a marvelous win, what a marvelous win!!!
What war was it when it was a death to a six month old child, young ladies and strong built men?
Though knives are sharp but sacrifice is sharper,
The legend is dead but became immortal,
The lessons are passionate, the lessons are wise
So much for humans, so much for humans!!
Say it rather, Live like Hussain, Die like Hussain…
Humility, minority, oppression is SLAVERY
DoNot submit to slavery of other than God,
DoNot feel Weak
DoNot feel alone
DoNot feel Insulted
It has never been between You and Them
It has and will always be, between You and Him (Almighty)!!
The battle was not just about freedom, not just about religion,
Was not just about victory, not about justice,
Was not about misfortunes, not about power, achievement and sins…
It is about Worship to the gratitude, worshiping free,
Worship and practice what is taught- correctly and in a dignified manner…
As Imam Hussain himself quotes,
“Some people worship God to gain His gifts; this is the worship of the
merchants. Some worship Him to avoid His punishment; this is the worship
of the slaves. Some worship Him solely to show gratitude towards Him; this
is the worship of the free!”
Live like Hussain and die like Hussain…!!

That's really a very mature, Philosophical and deep piece of writing. Excellent Title. While reading, I was relating and thinking that actually "It is and always between me and Diety."
ReplyDeleteSuch kind of articles, sometimes, force us to think that actually what we are and where we belong to. Good Kiran S. Sudha, Keep it up:)
Thanks to you, Shivali; It is equally great to hear from the philosopher's mind. No doubt, it is and has always been between diety and oneself. A Great thought indeed.
