It wasn’t in the darkest and deepest of the woods,

That the talisman was explored,

It is simple, I realized

1.      When it is not a “Yes”, it is a “No”

2.      When it is not “Right”, it is “Wrong”

3.      And it is never Perfect, there is always a scope of Perfection!

Rest all is complex and remains void.

When you would be called,

He will ask: Were these events/activities part of your journey?

Was it fair enough?

Did you perform all your duties and promises of living correctly?

: All of these require to be answered in just 1., 2., 3.!

Rest all, the lord isn’t interested, let it be in the woods, let it be the wisdom unexplored.

Love

  1. A Rohinton Mistry fan?

Forgive the intrusion. This is Debashish from the 'Oyster' days. Not sure if you remember yours truly. Was chatting with a mutual friend this evening when I enquired about you. Googled your name now and was directed to this blog. Your profile does not seem to have an e-mail ID. So I took the liberty of writing here.

Allow me to pick on the "wisdom unexplored in the woods" in your insightful ruminations. Two poets come to mind...so here goes...

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

['Childe Harold, Canto iv, Verse 178' - Byron]

Where had I heard this wind before
Change like this to a deeper roar?
What would it take my standing there for,
    Holding open a restive door,
Looking down hill to a frothy shore?
Summer was past and day was past.
Sombre clouds in the west were massed.
Out in the porch's sagging floor,
Leaves got up in a coil and hissed,
Blindly struck at my knee and missed.
    Something sinister in the tone
Told me my secret must be known:
Word I was in the house alone
    Somehow must have gotten abroad,
Word I was in my life alone,
Word I had no one left but God.

    ['Bereft' - Robert Frost]

    1. Hi Debashish, Definitely I remember you! After all, few of the most technical things I have learnt from you, tacitly. Yes Yamini mentioned a little chat of hers with you. Good to know that, you guys talk often.
My email id is: Kiran.sakkersudha@gmail.com for your reference! I got absorbed in these great sonnets and lyrics, there was an aura of divinity and blueness when I was reading it! And
I was again lost in the paths,
      Lost in the woods,
This time there were somber clouds
And nature’s own way of pleasing
      Saintly and silently, not
In these words I again got caught
Echo surrounds of those intruded interviews
The questions again and I still can answer either 1. 2. or 3. Way!
It is a pleasure to hear from you Debashish. Definitely I’ll mail in soon. Wish you all the best for your endeavors, this is one of the most cherished and thoughtful comment on Falsafa. Keep Reading!

    2. Touché! So the denouement is inevitable, the detour to the woods notwithstanding? Ah well, I can almost hear Shakespeare talking to me in a dismissive tone....

“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

At least thy thoughts are original while I take recourse to the bards of yesteryears. So more power to thee, I say! :)
